This community had 9 neighborhoods at the start of 2018 but a new neighborhood called The Enclave at Mote Ranch is under construction in 2018. Homes there will range from just under 1,600 to over 3,000 sq. ft. and prices from $250,000 to over $500,000. The community was named for William Mote, the namesake of Mote Marine in Sarasota. The first homes were built in 1989, mostly by Lennar and the building continued through 2004 by Morrison Homes.
The neighborhoods of Grand Point, Riverbend and River Park are right on the Braden River. The additional 6 neighborhoods of Arbor Lakes, Arbor Lakes Estates, Chaparral, Copper Ridge, Meadowlake and Misty Lake have lakes and tropical landscaping. Amenities include a recreation building with pool, nature trail, playground, canoe/kayak launch and private dock with a sitting area. It borders the University Park area with a great array of shops and restaurants including the new Mall at University Town Center.
